SOOO much is being said about the Sig MPX, the official name of the new SMG that allows “in the field” changing of barrels.

The firearm comes in multiple configuration from semi-auto, and select fire for government teams.  The SIG MPX will come in 9mm, 40 S&W, and .357 SIG.

There has been so much interest in the new Sig Sauer SMG that we just had to post some new pictures. There is no word on civilian pricing yet, and details are still sketchy. But, this is sure to be one of the most popular booths at Shot Show in two weeks!

Armalite has been previewing this rifle for some time in banner ads and on Facebook. But now, more details are being leaked. The image below shows some of the features on the new Armalite A1. It’s an AR-50 platform for the BIG .50-caliber round. Word on the street is a starting MSRP under $4,000. Not a bad deal, considering that many existing .50-cals are upwards of $8-10K. All the details will be revealed in two weeks at Shot Show. We will bring you updates as soon as the doors open!

The Beretta Nano has been a hot-selling little handgun in 2012. The mini-9 has been something of a break-out hit among the CCW crowd, and there is apparently more coming from this hot little number in 2013. Image

According to several sources, Beretta will add accessory frames in 2013. Because Beretta uses a drop-in internal steel frame for the Nano, that means you can just drop your serialized chassie into a new frame that already contains a light or laser.
Additionally, it seems likely that the Nano will be available in new colors in 2013, such as pink or OD Green. It remains to be seen whether Beretta will make the Nano in .40, however. (more…)

Winchester, one of the most venerable names in firearms, has announces it will launch a new 12-gauge Super X Pump Marine Defender in 2013. There is at least one photo of the new gun here:

Now, details are still few and far between, but the features so far include an “Inflex Technology” recoil pad, hard-chromed chamber, matte-chromed barrel and magazine tube, and a removable Tru Glow fiber-optic sight. The barrel is threaded to accept the Invector-Plus choke tube system and arrives with a cylinder bore choke installed.

The Appeal by manufacturer Tanfoglio is imported by EAA. The frame is lightweight polymer and has a rail built in for hanging expensive things as needed. It’s also a pullpup design, which greatly reduces the overall length while staying legal. The Appeal comes with a 10 round mag for the .22 cartridge.

The Length of pull can be adjusted with plastic inserts. The iron sights are integrated into a high Picatinny rail mounted above the barrel, and another Picatinny rail sits underneath the barrel The Appeal has a manual safety on the trigger and an automatic safety at the firing pin. It has a reversible cocking lever and ejector for ambidextrous use for a right or left hand shooter. The front and rear sight are adjustable. Includes 1- 10rd magazine-cleaning accessories, factory hard case and owner’s manual. Real world price is about $360.

The $22.5 million contract calls for Colt to deliver an unspecified number of new 1911 pistols to the Corps. Walther has been making waves with its newer polymer-framed handguns of late, and it looks like yet another addition is coming to the company’s lineup in 2013. American Rifleman reports that Walther recently had a pre-production version of its PPX on display at a trade show. The unit is hammer-fired, has a polymer-frame and is double-action only. Internal safety features include a firing pin block and two drop safeties. Early pictures indicate a standard accessory rail and two-tone finish. This should be a hot item at the Walther booth next month!  Additional pictures and video after the jump:
